Canada Resolution LLP ("Canada Resolution," "we," "us") operates as a multi-province Canadian law firm and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Québec, the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector as amended by Law 25.
When you submit the consultation form, the chat widget, or call our intake line, we collect: your name, phone number, email address, postal code, province, the practice area you selected, and whatever details you choose to share about your situation. We do not ask for your Social Insurance Number, health card number, or other government ID numbers through this site, and you should never send those to us by web form.
We use the information you provide to route your inquiry to the lawyer on our team licensed in your province and focused on your type of matter, to contact you about your potential case, and to keep a record of that communication if a lawyer-client relationship is formed. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties. If your matter is one we refer to another firm — something we only do with your knowledge — your information is shared with that firm solely for that purpose.
This site uses essential cookies required for the site to function (for example, remembering that you've responded to the cookie banner). With your consent, given through the cookie banner, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site; essential cookies cannot be disabled, as the site will not function correctly without them.
If you do not become a client, we retain your contact and inquiry details for a limited period to allow for follow-up, after which they are deleted. If you become a client, your information is retained in accordance with our professional obligations under the applicable provincial law society's record-keeping rules.
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, and to request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep (for example, if no retainer was ever signed). To make a request, contact us using the details on our Contact page. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Questions, concerns, or requests about this policy or your personal information can be directed to us by phone at 1-863-336-6600 or through our Contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, Québec residents may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information, and residents of other provinces may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
